A small reminder that together we are stronger. There is sadly a lot of competition and jealousy between girls which ends up with us not treating each other right. Its unhealthy and unneccessary.
In general women seem to have a reputation for being “catty” and competitive with other women.
Healthy competition and confidence are encouraged in boys but often seen as undesirable traits in girls. As such their natural competitive spirit cannot be shared openly happily or even jokingly with other women. In such situations when aggression cannot be channeled into a healthy positive edge it becomes inhibited and goes underground. What could have been healthy competition becomes a secret feeling of envy and desire for the other to fail – laced with guilt and shame.
Women in history have fought tirelessly for women’s rights and equality. They’ve fought for women to not be seen as an ‘inferior’ sex. By competing and putting each other down we are not supporting these efforts from powerful women in the past. It reinforces the idea that we should feel inferior. We should be continuing to fight for equality by lifting and building each other up.
When we support each other amazing things can happen. When we work together we ALL benefit. Kindness costs nothing and spreading positivity brings positivity into our own lives. A little girl power can go a long way.
Fun fact: it has been scientifically proven that a compliment received from a woman is more effective than if the same compliment had come from a man. So to wrap this up lets all form a sister circle and compliment each other. Who knows maybe we can open up a portal to another dimension.
